    藜科是被子植物的大科之一,两半球的亚热带、温带、寒带都有分布。藜科基本上是一个温带科,全球共约130个属1500余种,广泛分布于欧亚大陆、南北美洲、非洲和大洋洲的半干旱及盐碱地区。主要生长在海拔300~2000m之间的地段,个别种类如小果滨藜可分布在海拔4000m以上的高山,该植物在青藏高原最高的分布记录为5050m。
