    委内瑞拉，是位于南美洲北部的国家，也是南美洲国家联盟的成员国，首都加拉加斯。北临加勒比海，西与哥伦比亚相邻，南与巴西交界，东与圭亚那接壤。它被称为“瀑布之乡”，面积912050平方千米。海岸线长2813千米。原为印第安人居住地。1498年哥伦布航行美洲时到此。1523年西班牙人建立第一个殖民地。1567年沦为西班牙殖民地。1811年7月5日独立。1830年建立共和国。1974年6月28日同中国建交。
