    保罗·齐泽维茨著的《物理》结构安排与上一版基本不变，但内容安排更为合理，许多章节的段落均有调整。如上一版在牛顿第二、第三定律之间插入了力的合成，新版则将其移到加速度与力之前。各章习题在保持原有大部分题目的基础上，又增加了不少新题，题目顺序也作了较大幅度的调整，还有各章的复习指南，归纳得更加紧凑合理，文字更加简约。

    保罗·齐泽维茨,is an emeritus professor of physics and of science education at the University of Michigan-Dearborn.He received his BA from Carleton College and his MA and PhD from Harvard University, all inphysics. Dr. Zitzewitz taught physics to undergraduates at the University of Michigan-Dearborn for36 years and, as an active experimenter in the field of atomic physics, published more than 50research papers. He was named a Fellow of the American Physical Society for his contributions tophysics and science education for high school and middle school teachers and students. He is nowtreasurer of the American Association of Physics Teachers and has been the president of theMichigan Section of the American Association of Physics Teachers and chair of the American PhysicalSociety's Forum on Education.
